Now that the renovation is nearing completion on the inside of The Lift Studios, it’s time to (finally) move to the outside. Warren Perdue, of Perdue Studios, created a patinated metal covering for the upper portion of the building. If you see it in person (or look closely at the pictures), you can see the edges are curled similar to a piece of rolled paper. It’s beautifully unique and will be welcoming people into our space for years to come.
Next we had to decide on a paint color that would compliment the patinated metal. After much deliberation, we settled on a bold black with a hint of brown. We were nervous about going so dark but the risk paid off. The color frames the windows and shows off Warren’s piece in the best way possible.
We are still waiting on our permits from the City of Asheville to hang our sign… but here’s a little preview for ya! Yet another great piece of art by Warren Perdue!
